One Year at AYCON and Ameritum Almost a year ago, I had the opportunity to write a post about my internship at AYCON and Ameritum. Back then, I shared how much I had already learned in just the first few weeks and how grateful I was for the opportunity. The fact that I am already writing my next post—this time about my first full year—is honestly hard to believe. I guess the saying really is true: Time flies when you love what you do! What started as an internship turned into a part-time position as a Business Development Assistant and Writer, alongside my studies in History and Political Economy at King’s College London. I have had the opportunity to contribute across a wide range of areas—from business development and writing thought leadership articles, LinkedIn posts, and newsletters to administrative tasks and market research. Every day has brought something new to learn. Especially as a student, it is anything but a given to be entrusted with so much responsibility at such an early stage and to gain insight into so many different areas of a business. But I have learned just as much outside of my day-to-day responsibilities. In my many conversations with Ulvi, the topics were never limited to management or entrepreneurship. We talked just as much about discipline, priorities, responsibility, decision-making, and the mindset we bring to both our professional and personal lives. Those conversations and anecdotes have been among the most valuable experiences of this past year and have profoundly shaped the way I look at many things. Another aspect that makes our collaboration so special is its international nature. Anastasia works from all kinds of places around the world—whether from China, Germany, Italy, or Vietnam. Ulvi regularly travels internationally between assignments. And I have always been able to combine my work with my studies and travels, whether from London, Abu Dhabi, during my summer program at the Sorbonne in Paris, or most recently, even from Australia. No matter where we happened to be, we would get on calls, coordinate projects, and work together as if we were all sitting in the same office. The fact that this kind of collaboration is possible across borders, time zones, and continents continues to fascinate me to this day. What means the most to me, however, is the trust I was given from the very beginning. Early on, I was entrusted with responsibility, encouraged to contribute my own ideas, given the freedom to work independently, and invited to play an active role in projects. That trust has not only helped me grow professionally, but has also shown me just how much is possible when people believe in one another and are willing to give others real responsibility. Thank you, dear Ulvi and Anastasia, for this extraordinary year! I am looking forward to many more projects together and to continuing my journey with AYCON and Ameritum! Maha! We are proud to have you on board. You are an incredibly important part of our team!

One Year at AYCON and Ameritum

Almost a year ago, I had the opportunity to write a post about my internship at AYCON and Ameritum. Back then, I shared how much I had already learned in just the first few weeks and how grateful I was for the opportunity. The fact that I am already writing my next post—this time about my first full year—is honestly hard to believe.

I guess the saying really is true: Time flies when you love what you do!
